Introduction
Industry 4.0 is an emerging ecosystem that combines intelligent and autonomous machines, advanced predictive analytics, and machine-human collaboration to pave the way to a new technological age which will radically transform industry and production value chains and business models. In order to achieve a fully automatic, effective and reliable manufacturing ecosystem, there is an urgent need for the development of enabling technologies in many areas such as robotics, communications, security, big data analytics, signal processing, business models, risk management, brain-computer interaction and artificial intelligence.
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS), University of Engineering & Technology (VNU-UET) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (VNU-HCMUT) are pleased to announce the Research School 2019 on “Enabling Technologies for Industry 4.0” (RS2019) to be held in Hanoi on 26-27 March 2019 at the Vietnam National University, University of Engineering & Technology. The aim of RS2019 is to address a high level of interest and introduce latest developments in future industry enabling technologies to students and researchers in Vietnam and to foster the exchange of ideas and PhD training opportunities.
Distinguished professors from UTS, VNU-UET and VNU-HCMUT will deliver lectures on blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data/video analytics, and semiconductor technologies. There will be a Student Poster Competition on the research of student participants. Furthermore, the RS2019 will be organized together with the ASEAN IVO Workshop on “Cyber-Attack Detection and Information Security for Industry 4.0.”
